The single unit drawloom is made for weaving patterns which do not have a pattern repeat. Designs are made by pulling drawcords which raise individual units of heddles. The cords are held in place by wooden dowels located just above the beater. The new single unit drawloom is comfortable to use, with drawcords at eye level.
